OH MY! A PEACE of PIE

Holidays, parties, and family gatherings oh my! Throughout life we have been mistreated by many different people and some people we have mistreated. Some resulted in forgiveness and other we are still working on forgiving. What I would like to present to you is a Peace of PIE! As the pandemic pressure is released a bit and holiday season is approaching many of us will enjoy the sweet pleasure of pie! Sweet Potato pie, Pumpkin pie, Apple pie, and for my southern belles Pecan pie, but for you I present a PEACE of PIE.

The perfect pie requires many delicate ingredients, precise measurements, and a specific temperature. Though many may have the recipe, lets face it the results aren’t the same. Now, Let’s imagine this pie as YOU. There are many great qualities that make you, you. Yes, even you have a temperature control and though many people have your recipe (access) they don’t all get the same results. We have allowed so many people to come into our lives and alter our recipe. There are some who don’t like you being dense so they turn the mixer to a higher speed and beat you longer than directed. Others may think you are too sweet, so they add some lemon juice or salt to try and help balance you out. There are people who don’t care for you but just put up with you because everyone around them loves you. So, they use baking soda instead of baking powder making sure you don’t rise. Then there you are, allowing them to slice you and take all they want until you are all gone. This will not be your portion the next time you gather. Accept that its okay if everyone don’t like you, but they love you. Accept that It’s okay if you’re too sweet for some people, they need to remove themselves from around you. As for those whom you are too dense for they need to readjust as well, because there really are people in the room who loves you. Ill say that again there are people in the same room with all the others who really love and like you. You will not be annoyed by rude, inconsiderate, abusive people. You will not allow any form of hurt, grief, or inferiority to control you.

Lastly, do yourself a solid, and give them the benediction.May the Lord watch between you and me, while we are absent one from another.

Simply leave early. Bid them a great night and take your peace of pie with you!

Wrap your peace of pie to go. Preserve and secure it and then enjoy indulging in it in the comfort of your home.
